Tuesday September 28 7 p.m. at Unity Church on the Plaza, Charles Filmore Auditorium. Brief practice followed by a talk by Guiding Teacher Judy Roitman. This is part of Buddhist Awareness Week, sponsored by the Temple Buddhist Center and UMKC.

ZEN MEDITATION RETREATS AT THE KZC
For one day retreats, unless otherwise noted, please bring a brown bag lunch. For all other retreats, vegetarian meals will be provided. For costs see below. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. E-mail kansaszencenter “at” gmail “dot” com for more information.
1 Day Retreat and Workshop
Saturday July 24 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Led by Guiding Teacher Judy Roitman JDPSN, and Zen Master Hae Kwang (Stan Lombardo). Meals will be provided. Participants must attend the entire day.
1 Day Retreat
Saturday September 11 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Orientation (for people who have not sat retreats with us before) at 8:30 a.m. Led by Zen Master Hae Kwang (Stan Lombardo). For all levels of practitioners. Participants in the Foundations of Zen class get a $10 discount on fees.
2 Day Retreat
Friday November 19 6:30 p.m. to Sunday November 21 noon. Led by Guiding Teacher Judy Roitman, JDPSN.
5 Day Retreat
Tuesday January 4 6:30 p.m. to Sunday January 9 noon.
To register for a retreat
Registration forms are at the Kansas Zen Center, or online by clicking mail-in registration form. Please print the form, fill it out, include your check and mail to KZC. Please register for retreats at least five days before a retreat. There is a $10 late fee.

Retreat fees
Retreats vary in price depending on the length of the retreat and whether meals are provided by the Zen center. Please email with any questions.
If meals are provided, the cost per day is:
$60 for non-members
$45 for members of the Kwan Um School of Zen
$39 for people who have taken 10 precepts with the Kwan Um School of Zen
$25 student rate
If meals are not provided:
$30 for non-members
$25 for members
No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Scholarships or work exchanges can be arranged with the Guiding Teacher. If you cannot sit an entire retreat as scheduled, please talk to the retreat teacher to make arrangements. For more information, call or email us.
