Carnatic (and more) benefit concert featuring Purnaprajna Bangere.

March 25, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm CDT

Free – $20.00

Join us March 25 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Kansas Zen Center dharma room for a concert by the violinist Purnaprajna Bangere. Purna is deeply educated in the classical Indian Carnatic tradition and has gone on to develop his own musical form (Metaraga) drawing on blues, jazz and western classical. Before Covid he performed regularly at the Zen Center; we are very happy to have him back. If you’d like a taste of his music, check out his web page here. $20 for adults, children under 12 are free. Be sure to bring your ticket receipt. Most seating will be on the floor but there will be some chairs for people who need them. In-person only.
